I drove up to the Smuksjøseter Friday on July 30.

Was promoting approx. At 12:30. Had booked rooms in advance.

I was going to go Bråkdalen, but then I would not come back for dinner.

So I would go to Kjondalen. It goes down to Peer Gynt cottage and back to Smuksjøseter. About. 11km.

This was a popular trip that many goes.

Start at 13.15 by stepping on the right side of the Kjondalsbekken. This is the path that goes up to Steinbuhøe, but I will not go over the pelvis.

The trail goes up and a little to the east and was at the highest point at 15.00.

Now it goes almost down to the Peer Gynt cabin.

It was very much Cloudberry down the valley, but they weren't quite mature yet.

I looked for mountain flowers, but there was little of it. Lush and nice down the valley and a nice path to go.

Was down at Peer Gynt cabin at 16.00 and began to walk the path towards Smuksjøseter.

It was approx. 4km with a slightly rocky path.

Was promoting approx. At 17.15 on Smuksjøseter and had spent 4 hours on the 11km long trip.

It had gone well and was not very tired.

Saturday, July 31, I would try to go down Bråkkdalen.

Will go from the Smuksjøseter and the path up past Steinbuhøe and continue to the gorge down in Bråksdalen. There Vesledalen goes down.

Then go down Bråkkdalen and follow the Bråksdalbekken right down to Peer Gynt Cottage. Will then go to Smuksjøseter.

This is a trip of approx. 19km

I started going at 09.17 from Smuksjøseter. Walking to the parking lot and the path along the Kjondalsbekken upwards. Then went over the stream in Path share against the Kjonsdalen.

It was quite steep up towards Steinbuhøe which I had on the left. After a while I saw a snowfield up in the mountainside. Here I thought the Vesledalen began with the decrease in the gorge.

So 2 people came after me, but they should probably not go the same place as me.

I followed the path that went upwards towards Gråhøbue of 1625 M.O.H.

Took of from the trail and ended up on the snowfield that went down to Vesledalen. Here it also went a stream. Used 2 hours here.

Vesledalen swung back and forth down to Bråkdalen. It was not very steep. But there were a lot of loose stones and I took it very quiet down there. It was marked with some T marks down, but I think they were marked for those who went up the Vesledalen.

Used approx. 3 hours to the bottom of the Bråkkdalen. When I came down, I saw the Løyftdalen coming in there. This is a valley coming from the Løyft and from Verkilsdalen. It should be possible to go up there. But I don't want to try it.

Sat down and ate when I came down.

There was no official trail here, but very okay to walk along the Bråkbekken. Then come to a gorge with a very nice pool one can swim in. Then the trail went completely out on the edge of the pelvis down. One had to keep the tongue right in the mouth as it was 10-15m down to the creek.

So now a path across the pelvis. Here I could have come over to go a shortcut back to Smuksjøseter. I tried to get over the creek on the rocks were very slippery. Wouldn't wade here.

Come down to the Peer Gynt cottage. It started to rain. Went over the bridge over the Bråkbekken at Peer Gynt cottage after approx. 6 hours and 40 minutes.

It rained now in buckets and buckets, and I went a shortcut over the mountain, but then it began to thundry. I went down to the trail again.

Was promoting on the Smuksjøseter at 17.17. I was a little tired the last piece in the rain. I can recommend going this tour but one should have to go the other way.

Used approx. 8 hours on the trip and measured 19km with Norway chart on my mobile. I was happy with it.
